Our maiden title is a low fantasy RPG set in a world of magick and intrigue, a
world two thousand years older than those of medieval fantasies. Nature
is still dangerous and unknown, alive and attentive, ever-watching the daily
trials of humankind. In The Early Dark, heroes are few, less divine than
their legendary predecessors. The great events and climaxes of early myth
still ripple  through the lands. Here Players shape characters with human
weakness but epic influence in a time between myth and history.

After the flood of Noah but before Abraham founds the three religions
After the Pandavas win the battle of kurukshetra but before the Andhras rule India
After the Yellow Emperor but before Sima Xian records the origins of the Qin Dynasty
After the events of the Iliad but before they are spoken of by Homer
After Romulus and Remus suckle the wolf but before Caesar is made Emperor of Rome

These are periods of uncertainty, dark ages between legend and history. Times not spoken of that exist only as a blur between the myths of origin and the recorded history of a people. Epochs of gods, spirits, and goblins. These are the generations of dragons and magick, before people stopped believing in such things. Ages of flux, where humans struggled as one race among many for survival.

In The Early Dark, every myth is young, every legend still alive, and every human prey.
